Who we are
ICRS is a partnership between Jodi Berg and Elizabeth Derrington. Ros Gardner retired as a partner in 2014 but continues to provide support as a consultant. We are experienced professionals in dispute resolution and have worked with a very wide range of organisations from the public, voluntary and commercial sectors and offer a unique combination of expertise.
Jodi Berg OBE is an established expert in the field of dispute resolution, and has provided complaint review services for organisations including the Child Support Agency, JobCentre Plus and the Audit Commission. She has established new escalated complaints services for public bodies including Land Registry, The National Archives and the Charity Commission. Until 2017 Jodi was the Chair of Administrative Justice Forum, the Government advisory body having oversight if the administrative justice and tribunal system.She brings to this work her professional expertise as a past solicitor and mediator and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, alongside an understanding of practical management gained from wide Board experience. Jodi is a past Chair of an NHS Trust and a Probation Service and holds current Board and Committee appointments in the private and public sectors.
Elizabeth Derrington qualified as a solicitor in 1979 and as a mediator in 1997. She has served as chair of a Probation Board, non executive director for an NHS Trust and for Northern Dispute Resolutions, (a mediation service provider), chair of a regional Electricity Consumers' Committee, and an independent member of the Parole Board.
Since 2002 Elizabeth has specialised in dispute resolution, as Independent Complaints Adjudicator for Ofsted (2002-2008) and Independent Complaints Reviewer for HM Land Registry (2008-2018). She is a past member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants.
